Chris Suggs Appointed to VA Bankers Assoc. CFO Committee

Powell Valley National Bank (PVB, Bank) is pleased to announce that Chris Suggs, Vice-President and CFO, was appointed to serve as a member of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Committee for the Virginia Bankers Association (VBA) for the 2014-2015 year. The VBA CFO Committee is comprised of CFOs from across the State of Virginia, whose function is to assist in providing valuable input relative to education and training, legislation, and various initiatives helpful to the banking industry.

Suggs is a licensed certified public accountant with over fifteen years’ experience in both public accounting and private enterprise.  He is a graduate of UVA-Wise where he earned a double major in Accounting and Business Administration.  He is a member of the American Institute of CPA’s and the Virginia Society of CPA’s.  He is also a graduate of the Virginia Bankers Association School of Bank Management.  Chris serves on the planning commission for the Town of Jonesville.  Chris and his wife Sonja have been married for fourteen years.  They have two boys – Wyatt and Cody.  He and his family attend church at Christian Life Fellowship near Jonesville.
