Jonesville, VA – Powell Valley National Bank (PVB, Bank) is pleased to announce the promotion of Cassie Dotson to Vice President.
Dotson joined PVB in 2006 in the Wise Office as a proof operator. Always one to eagerly take on new responsibilities and research new products and services, Cassie had the opportunity to work in various capacities across retail banking, including the responsibility of the lead customer service representative for all offices. She worked closely with the bank’s director of training and electronic banking administrator to ensure the bank’s retail employees were equipped with product training and support to provide the best customer service experience.
Cassie is a graduate of Wise County’s leadership program, Forward Wise County, and is an active volunteer in her community. She currently serves as treasurer on the Board of Directors for the Lunchbox276 organization. Cassie has volunteered on the planning committees for both the Wise Chillin’ and Grillin’ in the Glades event, and the Wise Fall Fling’s Youth Art Contest.
In her current role as Director of Deposit Technology Operations, Cassie leads the efforts of the bank’s deposit operations systems and platforms, including support and troubleshooting in IT, while continuing to work closely with the electronic banking administrator to offer training and support across the bank’s vast electronic and digital product offerings. Additionally, Cassie works on the expansion of PVB’s treasury management service.
“Cassie’s career progression at PVB is a testament to her exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and ability to deliver results and serves as a reminder to all of our younger staff that opportunities can come through dedication and hard work,” President & CEO of PVB Leton L. Harding, Jr. stated. “We look forward to her continued success as she bolsters the growth of new products and implementations for our employees.”
