Jonesville, Virginia–Powell Valley National Bank (PVB, Bank) is pleased to announce the promotion of Kara Barrett to Senior Vice President. Kara joined the PVB team in April of 2020 and made an immediate impact.

With 23 years of banking experience, 20 of those years have been spent in credit administration. In her tenure at PVB, Barrett has supported significant growth in lending at the Bank. She is a graduate of the Virginia Bankers School of Management and consistently looks for opportunities to continue her training and education.

Barrett’s attention to detail, research skills and problem solving make her a standout credit analyst. These factors and her ability to communicate across departments demonstrate this well-deserved promotion for Kara.

Kara and her husband, Craig, live in Surgoinsville, TN, with their two sons, Clamon and Coy.
