Jonesville, VA – Powell Valley National Bank (PVB, Bank) is pleased to announce the promotion of Joe Jones to Assistant Vice President.

Jones joined PVB in 1980 in the Jonesville Office.  He began his career working in the Bookkeeping Department, and later managed the bank’s data services nighttime processing group.  While working on night shift, Joe was responsible for processing the nightly updates to bank systems and customer records, a job function that has significantly changed over the last 41 years.

Joe was actively involved in the bank’s Information Technology (IT) modernization project in 2016, which led to the expansion of PVB’s capacity to support 24-hour customer service through its various electronic commerce and information technology systems.

In his current role, Jones directs and supports information technology services and work functions relating to the daily operations of the IT Department.

Joe is a native of Jonesville, VA and a graduate of Jonesville High School.
