If you are like me, you are probably feeling a little tired about now.
On top of all the “normal” things that stress us out, such as work, kids, school, army worms eating my lawn… What are army worms… and why have I never heard of them before? (Ok Leton, get back on topic!)
As a kid, autumn was such a great time to live in Appalachia. The colors, the smells, the unbelievably deep and clear sky. The amazing “awe” and “ahhs” of nature all around me.
Each fall I promise myself that I will take a step back, slow down and that this will be the fall that I will be a kid again and be inspired by the beauty of nature. Do more things outside that enjoy nature.
I am a busy CEO. A busy husband. A busy poppa.
Yep, I am that and more. I suspect you are too.
However, if ever there was a year for me, you, your family and friends to truly stop and be a kid in nature, it is this year. Next fall you can stay busy.
So this fall be a kid again and see nature with an open eye and heart.
Isn’t that one of the reason’s you live in these mountains?
Stay safe, and get your vaccine.
– Leton
