Letters From Leton: A Proud Poppa!

Undoubtedly somewhere along the line a family member, young person, or friend has done something that made you proud of them. A question I have for you is did you take a moment to tell them that you were proud of them? It seems like we live in a world of criticism – a world where you need to be negative to be heard. I guess that is not the way I like to see things so every day, I try to pay attention to the good things that happen around me.

A few weeks ago, I was a proud Poppa – Well, a proud Bank CEO Poppa.

Was it because we closed a big loan? Nah.

A huge deposit relationship? Nah.

Was it a new product or service release? Nah.

No, I was proud because Madison, our new teller in Jonesville did her first instant issues Debit Card and helped a customer in a pinch. And I was there to witness it and tell her how proud I was of her for this important service delivered to the customer. The customer was happy and Madison was proud of her achievement – a first for her at the beginning of her journey as a banker. Do you let these special moments pass you by? Or do you stay in touch with your surroundings, customers, and fellow employees?

Great Job Madison! Welcome to Banking with a special purpose – being a PVB employee.

Stay Safe.
– Leton
