Mary Beth has served as a community banker representing Powell Valley National Bank for over 20 years. She is a graduate of the Virginia Bankers Association’s School of Bank Management. Mary Beth has served as a member and representative of the Mortgage Executives Committee for the Virginia Bankers Association, the Mortgage Markets Committee for the American Bankers Association, and the Virginia Mortgage Lenders Association.

Mary Beth, a native of Lee County, holds a degree in Organizational Management from Tusculum College where she graduated with honors. She and her husband, Grant, have two children, Olivia and Walker. As a family they enjoy playing golf, supporting youth athletics, and are active members of Friendship Baptist Church in Jonesville.

Cory joined PVNB in 2015 as Vice President and Business Development Officer in the Wise office, and holds over 15 years of financial industry experience. Dotson is a graduate of the Tennessee Southeastern School of Banking and the Risk Management Association’s East Carolina University Commercial Lending School. Cory is a strong advocate for economic development in our region and currently serves as a board member for the Wise County Chamber of Commerce, where he has twice occupied the office of President.
Cory serves on The University of Virginia’s College at Wise Foundation Board and People Incorporated’s Financial Services Loan Review Committee. Dotson is a graduate of the Chamber’s Forward Wise County program and is a member of the Norton Kiwanis Club.

Dotson, a native of Wise, VA, is a graduate of Radford University with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. He and his wife, Ashley, have two children, Gavin and Eli, and reside in Wise, VA.
Jonesville, VA—Powell Valley National Bank (PVNB, Bank) is pleased to announce plans to build a new full-service office in Abingdon, Virginia.
In 2017, PVNB opened a loan production office on West Main Street in Abingdon to serve customers in the Greater Washington County area. After one year of business in the market, PVNB made a decision to expand its presence in the region with the construction of a new full service branch. PVNB’s newest office will be located in the Walmart Development situated off Lee Highway at 16032 Fifteen Mile Boulevard in Abingdon (Exit 19, Interstate 81). Construction will begin soon and is expected to be completed during the fourth quarter of 2018. The new office will feature a full-service, state of the art facility including a drive thru, ATM, and fully staffed team of experienced banking professionals, with Senior Vice President and Market Executive, Sam Neese, leading the team.
