Washington County Industrial Development Authority Appoints Jim Swartz to Board of Directors

Jonesville, VA – Powell Valley National Bank (PVB, Bank) is pleased to announce that Jim Swartz, Vice President and Loan Review Officer, has been appointed to the Washington County Industrial Development Authority (IDA) Board of Directors.

 

The Washington County IDA is the primary organization responsible for industrial development within Washington County and supports the economic and commercial development throughout the county.  The IDA is composed of a seven-member Board of Directors appointed at-large by the Washington County Board of Supervisors for a four-year term.

 

Jim is a native of Smyth County, Virginia.  He is an advocate for our region and his many volunteer appointments and leadership positions showcase his dedication to our community.  He is a graduate of the Washington County Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership program and has served on its Board of Directors.  Jim has volunteered as a member of the Mount Rogers Planning District Commission’s Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy Committee and the Smyth-Washington Regional Industrial Facilities Authority.
