Sam Neese Joins Powell Valley National Bank

 Bank Opens Loan Production Office in Abingdon

Jonesville, Virginia –Powell Valley National Bank (PVB, Bank) is pleased to announce that Sam Neese has joined the Bank as Senior Vice President and Business Development Officer.  With Sam’s leadership and extensive banking experience, PVB is expanding its footprint into Abingdon and the surrounding area with the opening of a loan production office located at 988 West Main Street.

Neese, a Washington County, Virginia native, has over 42 years of banking experience in Washington County where he served 24 of those years as the Chief Executive Officer of a local Bank before he retired in 2015.   Sam has served the community and the banking industry via numerous civic and professional appointments, volunteer hours, awards, and accomplishments over the last 40 years in the industry.

Sam is a graduate of Emory & Henry College, and a member of Highlands Fellowship Church.   He and his wife Brenda have two children, Heather and Andrew, daughter in law Beth, and two grandchildren Noah and Sophie.  They reside in Abingdon, VA.
