Philip Deel Joins Powell Valley National Bank

Jonesville, Virginia–Powell Valley National Bank (PVB, Bank) is pleased to announce the appointment of Philip Deel as Vice President and Loan Officer of the bank’s office in Abingdon, Virginia to serve the citizens of Southwest Virginia and Northeast Tennessee.

Deel has over 20 years of financial and lending experience in the greater Southwest Virginia and Northeast Tennessee region, where he served 15 of those years with BB&T.  Over the years he held numerous roles that included teller responsibilities, office manager duties, and consumer and commercial lending.  He is a graduate of the Virginia Bankers Association’s School of Bank Management, and the Washington County Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership program.  Philip has supported his community and the banking industry through numerous civic and professional appointments, volunteer hours, and accomplishments during his career including a member of People Incorporated’s loan committee and Johnston Memorial Hospital’s Foundation Board.  He is an advocate for our region, its beauty and resources, and his mission is to promote and facilitate its growth.

A native of Dickenson County, Virginia, Deel holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Radford University.  He has one daughter, Lindsay.  He and his wife, Kristi, and daughter Lindsay, enjoy traveling, hiking, Formula-1 racing, and enjoying all our region has to offer.
