Jonesville, VA, Powell Valley National Bank (PVB, Bank) is pleased to announce that Mark Farris has joined the Bank as a Vice President and Commercial Loan Officer in Abingdon, VA.  His office is located at 988 West Main Street.

Joining PVB with over 20 years of financial experience, Mark, a native of Washington County, VA, most recently served as Vice President and Regional Market Area Manager for Highlands Union Bank in Abingdon, Virginia.

Farris is a graduate of the Virginia Bankers Association’s School of Bank Management.  Among many community involvements, he serves on the Abingdon Main Street Board of Directors and the Johnston Memorial Hospital Foundation Board.

Mark earned an undergraduate degree from Emory and Henry College in Business Management.  He is a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church, and resides in Abingdon, VA.
