Jonesville, VA-Powell Valley National Bank (PVNB, Bank) is pleased to announce the promotion of Cory Dotson, Senior Vice President, to Market Executive for Wise County, Virginia.

Dotson is a member of the PVNB leadership team.  He joined the bank in 2015 as Vice President and Business Development Officer in the Wise office, providing a specialized focus on governmental lending, and holds over 20 years of financial industry and community banking experience.  Dotson is a graduate of the Tennessee Southeastern School of Banking and the Risk Management Association’s East Carolina University Commercial Lending School.  Cory is a strong advocate for economic development in our region and currently serves as a board member for the Wise County Chamber of Commerce, where he has twice occupied the office of President.

Dotson, a native of Wise, VA, is a graduate of Radford University with an undergraduate degree in Business Administration, and a concentration in Accounting.  He and his wife, Ashley, have two children, Gavin and Eli, and reside in Wise, VA.
