Jonesville, VA, Powell Valley National Bank (PVB, Bank) is pleased to announce that Aaron Hicks has joined the Bank as Chief Financial Officer.

Aaron is a native of Washington County, VA.  He has nearly 20 years of accounting experience, and over 12 years of experience in the banking industry, most recently as Vice President and Controller for Highlands Union Bank in Abingdon, Virginia.  He is a graduate of the Virginia Bankers Association’s School of Bank Management.

Aaron is an advocate for his community.  He currently serves as a director on the Town of Abingdon’s recreation committee and is a volunteer Hunter’s Safety Instructor for the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries.  Aaron has served on the Alumni Board at UVA Wise, and held leadership positions such as President and Challenge Coordinator for the Highlands Soccer Club.  He is an active member of the Appalachian Highlands Chapter of The Ruffed Grouse Society.

Hicks is a graduate of The University of Virginia’s College at Wise with a B.S. in Accounting.  He and his wife, Nikki, along with their son, Tristan, attend Macedonia Church of Christ.  They reside in Abingdon, VA.
